Amaya smiled as she breathed in the familiar scents. It seemed as though nothing had changed to her.
Well, nothing here at least. She thought.
Amaya was different. She had been away for some time, and had changed. She was now a proud wife and hoped to have a family some day. Her hair was longer and back to it's original dark brown with a few streaks of silver running through it. Many people would have seen the silver and thought of old age, but Amaya didn't see it that way and she would hardly consider herself old, she thought of the silver as a type of medal. Showing every thing she had gone through and had come out the victor.
This time it's different. I'm different. I'm stronger. She thought. A small smile came across her frail face. She was much paler then before but some how managed not to look sickly. Her long, thin fingers reached out and touched the iron gate.
It was cold. She knew it would be, but for some reason she was taken back by the sudden harshness.
Amaya remembered that only a short while ago a moment like this would cause her to burst into tears and run away. The thought of her doing that now made her want to burst out into a fit of giggles. But she stifled the urge.
Her white dress blew along with the wind as it hung loosely on her thin frame. She knew that the seasons were beginning to change. Soon summer would be over and fall would begin. Life would begin to slowly die away.
What perfect timing for a new beginning. She thought as she looked back. Waiting for him, like she always did. That part she knew would never change.

Noise? What could is possibly be. It seemed to echo through the estate, the creaking of the iron gate- the entrance way. Slowly, slowly it swung open and...what was this? Was that the sound of footsteps? It couldn't be, could it? Who would be here, in the closed down estate that gave of an eerie radiance, coated in overgrown grass and disheveled shingles? The appearance seemed to be a natural way to ward of people from the otherewise large, inviting house that was once a nurturing home to many. most of those chickadees had flown the nest, not to return. One would think it was empty, uninhabited.
Yet looks can be decieving.
It had been a while, and with no where to really go, The strange girl who had gone by the name 'Brittz' as a child through her early teen had never truly left the Aura Estate. She grew older and spent time alone, taking care of the house. Something seemed to tell her, 'No, Don't leave' and to stay and take care of it, for one day her friends; Ed, Undine, Amaya, Yui...all of them would return. But if she didn't keep it clean on the inside, what would the come to? Daily she would dust the guest rooms (never touching people's personal rooms) , sweep the floors, clean the kitchen, and the one piece of property on ground she would take to was the Gardens. She wasn't sure why, but the gardens seemed to draw her in, and their she created her safe spot, a radiant place filled with flowers, and cherry blossom trees, one of the trunks of the trees even had a faded heart from an old coupling of a young boy with golden eyes, and a foolish girl who fell too hard. The gardens seemed to be a treasure, one she kept pride and joy in, even though no one but her saw it.
While, it did seem to get lonely in the house, of course the strange girl, nearing womanhood, frequented the village. That was where she would gather her food and supplies, especially gardening supplies, and occasionally catching up on the news of the town. She would stray about and pick up stories while she hid herself under a royal blue cloak, her blond hair blowing in the wind, and by the time townfolk noticed her she was gone already. One could make the argument that this lifestyle may have made her slightly antisocial, which is rather true. She got lonely, and didn't have much of anyone to talk to except some people here and there at the bar in town, and she couldn't help but long for the comfort and security with her friends. Ever sound about the estate would bring bubbles of hope to the surface of the strange girl's skin, and she would jump happily with hope that perhaps, just maybe...
Today was the day that her housekeeping days were over, if you would even call what she was doing that, seeing as she wasn't doing the greatest job.
With a racing pulse, Brittany Kiri Rouda- Who now called herself Kiri, quickly hurried to grab some clothing to put on, pulling on a simple black tank over her large chest, throwing a blue cloak over her and wrestling on black leather shorts, along with a pair of combat boots. Her strange streaks had long since faded away, leaving her hair blonde and to her mid back, yet her eyes had the same shine, full of personality and hope, excitement. She raced through the hallway, stumbled down the stairs and fell at the door, which she quickly pulled open, revealing the surprise.
"A-A-AMAYA"
amayaamayaamaya.
Her mind was racing, she was back, Amaya was back! Before she knew it she had toppled down onto the ground at Amaya's feet, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Your....Your back. Your truly back!"Her voice was muffled by her stuttering lips, here hair covering her crystal eyes. Was this a dream, is it real life?
Or is this just a fantasy, a dream dreamed so many times in her kept garden?
OOC: sorry that this is so badly written ,i just threw it together XD

Amaya broke the fix her eyes had on the winding road. She heard a noise that was in front of her. It sounded like a girl was crying. She looked down to find the girl she remembered as Britz, memories began to flow into her mind. She smiled gently down at her as she remembered everything from the past. All that they went through. Amaya stooped down, so that she was now level with the girl she called Britz, and grabbed her, pulling her into a tight hug. At this moment Amaya didn't seem so frail, but more like a mother comforting her upset child. Amaya laughed to herself at the very idea of Britz being her child, but realized that in a way she had always treated some of the guest like her children. She was always looking out for them. Amaya began to smooth the girl's hair as she cradled her in her arms. "Yes, Britz, I'm back and I am not going any where for a long while." Amaya cooed to her softly. Still her attention was elsewhere, waiting for him, or at least his shadow, to show in the distance. She turned her head to look in that direction again, as she continued to calm Britz down. She began to rock ever so gently and started to wipe away the tears from the young girl's face so that they wouldn't stain, as her's once did. "I'm here, I'm home" She continued cooing. (OOC: Sorry it took me so long to reply, I have been searching for my muse, and well as you can see I have not found it. Sorry its so short and so crappy. ^_^;;

Amaya smiled, seeing kenshin like this was reassurance that coming back was the right decision.
She smiled when he asked her about married life. "It's wonderful, speaking of which... you haven't seen my husband have you?" Amaya giggled. She knew this was an odd question to ask but they always seem to know where each other are.
