Undine sat in the corner of her blinding white room at her new drumset. Undine just spent most of the money she had from her gigs playing with Amaya and others she didn't well know. She beated a steady beat on her drum, warming up.
This is so awesome! Undine thought to herself, starting to play the beat to a song that she hadn't played sience she left her cousin's on her old set. She sang the words quietly along with it.

Undine's heart beated quietly along with the pulse of the drum. Her heart seemed to skip a beat at the symbol'scrashing thunder. Undine's eyes were closed as she played and sang. she felt nothing could bring her down.

Except one thing.
Hotaru Caddaya's thick black hair was pulled up above her head in a swing ponytail,her dress going to her knees,a slit on the side wearing Capris{Sp} under it with tape on them.Her combat boots were painted with mud from the journey.Slung over her shoulder was her sack,filled with random things She closed her eyes taking a breath of the chilled air of the rainy day,it smelt oh so good.Her hands ran across the windows of the estate,a ringing of a familiar song coming from upstairs.
Following it it lead her to the oppose side of the house,her hands skimming of woodworks of the walls until the dwelling form where the singing came form was only steps away.She pressed her hands on the door,it creaking open to reveal only her cousin and her drum set.
"Hello Undine,"

Right then Undine was brought down by a weight that she thought she had left behind. Undine dropped her drumsticks to she ground and the clank was quiet and barely heard over the torreltial downpour. Her blue hair hung partially in her face, the rest flowing behind her sholders to her lower back.
"What are YOU doing here Maya?"Undine asked in a shocked voice, concealing her build up rage against Hotaru Maya Caddaya, her closest living relative.
Undine wore a black baggy shirt and matching baggy green bants. As always, she wore black make-up. She also wore assortments of black bracelets on one arm, a black sweatband on the other.
Staring into the eyes of her very near yet distant cousin, Undine felt all the anger and rage toward Hotaru flowing though her body. Undine didn't notice, but her hands were in clenched fists, concealed behind her drums.

Maya grinned,or more like smirked.She pulled a chair up sitting on it backwards.Large golden bracelets,almost like shackles,clanged together,but she gave no effort to make them stop.
"I just stopped by this Beautiful looking estate on my way down threw the mountains,and thought to check it out when i heard your lovely voice.You always were good at singing,you know,"She said looking at her once black painted nails now chipped and muddy.
"What are you doing here?I wouldn't expect it,"

Undine sat down on her bed near the drums. She gave Maya a fake smile, not letting her 'in'.
"I'm here to get away from you, your village, and the rest of your family. Now if you don't mind, I'm in the middle of something, so if you'd just leave..."
Undine bent down and scooped up the drumsticks she had dropped. She put them down on one of the drums as the drum let out what sounded like a soft sigh.
Undine was getting annoyed. Of Hataru cared about her at all, she would have been looking for her much sooner. And also, she wouldn't have made her want to leave at all. Undine was prone to the complments Maya shot at her, her palms burning with rage.

She now looked away.'family'...
"I have no family,not anymore at least.Dad committed suicide soon after you left,and mom..."She didn't continue it from there her eyes didn't change though,not did any tears come.She faced her,the ponytail thrashing behind her.
"You the only one left,And i know you don't care either,"She said.Sob stories...boy were they lame...she thought as she gave out a sigh,she knew Undine really didn't want her there.

Undine was quiet for a minute as the words soked in. Her known family dead al except the girl infront of her and she was shooing her away.
"I'm sorry Maya."Undine said after a minute."I didn't notice that I'm the only one."
Undine hopped to the other side of the bed closed to Maya. she didn't like her very much and would rather someone else be alive instead of her, but she didn't have a choise in the matter really. Undine put her hand on Hotaru's sholder comphortingly. Undine was pretty careless and wasn't close to her "family" as they called themselves, but she did care now. Now her and Maya were the only Caddayas left.

Maya tried to smile,but the twistedf grin only looked manicial.She looked down a minute.
"Where the only ones left.... Yet were oppostites like the Sun and the Moon..." she said,looking up."How cna tou have such a goodkstrong, voice and sing such melodies when yo've bee nthrew the worst?"
She asked off subject,trying to get off.

Undine senced Maya's inner pain. She felt her urge to cry, but she somehow didn't.
"....I never really thougt of it. I guess I sing....because of what I've been through. I write and sing to let out my emotions that are hidden deep inside me. My pain and misery inspires me and tares me part a the same time."
Undine though of what she said

"What do you do to let out your pain, Maya? Once you let it out, the pain will slowly go away..."

"How do I let my pain out?" she asked looking up raising an eyebrow [[in am Mr. Smith sort of way]]
"Well I Write poetry, or stories, sometimes songs -yet I can't ever get them out. like when I open my mouth nothing comes out..."She said her eyes drifting to the floor.
Undine had such an nice big room, where she lived of the apples of trees and the water of the springs. A country rat in the city mouse’s home...
She thought for a moment…how does Undine get HERE? Her run away rascal of a cousin here of all places? The rebel girl, who spoke out? That was exactly how Maya was, except wrapped inside herself, her heart not sewn but rapped in masking tape.
She sighed and looked up, trying to think of something to ask her cousin.

For a moment....Undine could think of nothing to say. Her cousin seemed so desprate, yet so hopeless... Undine's eyes drifted to the indow in hope of some kind ofinspiration or idea, then reluctlantly back to the floor.
"...I have an idea."Undine bluted out quickly,"give me your hand. I know how I can help you. Let me enter your mind. I need to see what you see and feel what you feel. I know I can help you-just let me..."
With a warm smile, Undine extended her hand out to Maya with hope. Even if she didn't particularry like Maya, they were still family. Family must trust and help eachother when no one else will.

Maya raised her eyebrow again in thought.
Last time when someone did something like this to me I was unconscious for 3 whole days... she thought
But she’s my cousin....but what if she's possessed by that THING my father was talking about....
She looked at her palm that was traced with henna in sun vs. moon like patterns up to her shoulder, the shackle dangling from her wrist she put it down, giving a sign. "Ok... I trust you...” She muttered more to herself then undine as she quarter turned to hold out her hand. She tried to clear her mind but all she saw were the flash of memories of her mother with the knife, her father and his suicidal acts, the mansion with new hope, and a big, eager beast snapping at her from the dark. Her eyes remained closed though, and she didn't flinch- just waiting what undine was to do.
