She ambitious and isn't afraid to speak out.She likes to go head first and likes to get right into it.She rivals her cousin and will try hard to bet her in all they do.She is most times nice,though, to her friends and likes to flirt.She wishes to be loved,like anyone else.
History:Maya is Undine's "favorite" cousin, or that's what she likes to Believe. Maya Hotaru Caddaya was born in Hotaru Springs in the mountains. When she was 11, her cousin Undine came to live with her. She was told that Undine had no family and would live with them, and that Undine was the same age as Maya. Maya was born on the last stroke of midnight, Undine the first. When Undine first moved in, they were very close friends so to speak. As time went on though, a sort of rivalry grew between the two. Maya and Undine would always have to one up each other, who can shot arrows best,who can ride one of the horses fastest,Who can throw the farthest rock. On Maya's 16th birthday,which was also Undine's, Undine ran away. Hotaru found a note that she left telling her and her family that she cared about them but could no longer stay.Maya found this joyful,but also grew lonely.
Soon after she found her Father in her basement,a knife to his heart.
"I Love you Maya,but the darkness,is a bad thing, the risk of you being born at midnight was even worse,He WILL find you,and WILL use your powers for his own,i can't take it,it has driven me INSANE I CAN'T TAKE IT!"And before Maya could eve understand the point and the reasoning the knife sliced into his flesh,crimson draining out,his eyes blank as he fell back nimbly,Maya over him crying.she hugged him whispering,wanting him back,wishing.After that her mother was driven insane by this and was taken away.They told her they would put her with her with nice foster parents,and at this refused.She snuck back to her home,gathering necessary items and all the money she could muster.Looking threw her parents draw she found a package labeled HOTARU CADDAYA.Opening it she found a bracelet with a swirling pendent,giving her all the power she needed.
**Basically her father was in work with the Atrox like Undine's father,and was driven into insanity by it.The Atrox set this up for the two girls,to capture them and use the power of theres for his Doings.**
Maya set out ,burning her home behind her.She took her horse,Cheki,black with a fiery red mane and tail.She traveled with a sack ,her bow and arrow,a saddle with a water bottle,matches and other necessities and set off to discover her life,death,powers and destiny and to find her cousin.
Looks:Maya has deep black hair and Orange/hazel fiery eyes.she has tan skin and usually wears fiery colors,browns or blacks.She wears a bracelet on her right wrist that has a golden chain.hanging from it is a orb that is most times spinning filled with a mythical liquid changing with her inner feelings.it has a gold flame like top with a ring around it holding it together.

The thunder and lighting crashed with each other resulting in the loud sounds and endless rain.It was a dreary dark morning and it was the day Hotaru Caddaya was to leave Hotaru springs.She stood upon the second story balcony of the small farm house that she use to live in with Undine,her mother and father,overlooking the mountainous area and her farm she was leaving behind.Her hands gripped tightly ion the fence of swirling metal,her eyes dull,her hair sopping wet with the rain."Thou shall not kill...:"She whispered,Repeating the 10 commandments.But her father did,didn't her?He killed himself,
"Thou shall not steal..."But she did.She had to,didn't she?Thats how she needed to liven now....
"Thou shall not lie..."But THEY did and Undine...
The water dripped down her arms.she knew she was gonna get sick but she didn't move,it didn't occur to her then that she may get sick.the water mater her hair sopping,sticking to the curves of her face, her orange dress,torn at the bottom stuck slackly to her body.Her bare fee were crossed,now a pale white from the times she stood there.Each drop of water that feel made a tapping sound,breaking and making circles spiraling out.Her eyes soft and cloudy stared out.
"I wonder...what would happen if i slipped...who would care.,...who would find me..."She whispered almost like a wisp of the wind she turned around,stepping i nthe water walking across the deck back into the house to gather the rest of her things to depart.Wring out her hair she grabbed her sack,sling it over her shoulder and headed to the stable,matches in hand,ready to leave and light the house and let the flames engulf her long ago memories.
